Class Cancellations by Community Education

• If a class is canceled by Byron Community Education due to low enrollment, participants will receive a full refund.

• Weather & Instructor Cancellations
  If a class is canceled due to weather or at the request of the instructor, every effort will be made to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, a credit will be applied to the participant’s account for the value of the missed class.
  (Example: A $15 class meeting 3 times would receive a $5 credit for one canceled session.)

• Participant Cancellations
  If a participant cancels at least 7 day before a class begins, you will be provided a refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee. 
  If a participant cancels less than 7 days but more than 48 hours before the class begins and the cancellation does not drop enrollment below the minimum required, a partial refund may be issued with instructor approval.
  If a participant cancels less than 48 hours before the class begins, no refund will not be provided.

• No Refunds After Class Begins
  Once a class has started, no refunds will be given. However, if you are dissatisfied with your experience, please contact the Community Education Office—we want all participants to have a positive experience!

• Trip Refunds: All trip-related fees are non-refundable unless the trip is canceled by Byron Community Education.

Why We Don’t Offer Make-Ups or Refunds for Missed Classes

We understand that life happens—schedules change, kids get sick, and unexpected things come up! While we’d love to be flexible, our policy doesn’t allow for make-up classes or refunds all of the time. Here’s why:

? Instructor Costs – Our instructors are scheduled and paid based on enrollment, whether or not a participant can attend.
? Facility & Staffing – We reserve space and plan staffing in advance to ensure a great experience for everyone.
? Fairness to All – To keep things simple and consistent, we apply the same policy to all participants.
? Scheduling Challenges – Offering make-ups would make it difficult to balance class sizes, instructor time, and facility use.
