The goal of the Byron Community Education Gymnastics program is to offer a fun, safe and physically active outlet for kids. Kids will work on flexibility, strength and gymnastics skills along with social skills.
Intermediate 1 is the next level in our recreational program after Beginner 2. Children must be 7 years old to attend this class and have successfully passed the beginner level 2 or have a couple of years of gymnastics experience. They will build on the gymnastics strength skills they learned in Beginner 2 by adding additional skills and providing both strength and flexibility. These skills require additional strength and flexibility. The intermediate level has 19 skills to pass. Gymnasts will participate in the classes independently.
Attire: No clothing with buttons, snaps or zippers are allowed as these items can damage the equipment and a safety hazard. Leotards/singlets are encouraged, but shorts and t-shirts are allowed, and all long hair needs to be pulled back or put in a ponytail.
