🐉✨ Step into a world of magic and legends in this clay workshop!🧚🦄
Kids in grades 1-4 will use their creativity to sculpt enchanting fantasy creations, from fiery dragons to whimsical fairies to colorful unicorns. Using hand-building techniques like pinch, coil, and slab construction, students will bring their mythical visions to life with detailed textures and vibrant colors.
Note: Students will choose which mythical creatures they prefer to focus on in this workshop. Projects and results will vary from the inspirations photos below.
Projects include:
🐉 Dragon Eggs – Mysterious, textured eggs!
🦄 Mini Creature Sculptures – Craft a baby dragon, a delicate fairy or a magical unicorn.
🧚 Fairy Houses – Adorable toadstool cottages or enchanted tree stump homes for tiny fairies.
🏰 Fantasy Dragon Keep – A miniature castle or cave for a dragon to live in.
📚 Origin Story Mobiles - Make a mobile that tells the story of how your mythical creature came to be.
👁️ Mystical Medallions – Sculpt and glaze a dragon eye, fairy amulet, or magical rune stone.
Students will learn sculpting, carving, and surface texturing techniques before finishing their creations with colorful ceramic glazes and underglazes. Whether they love fierce dragons, delicate fairies or magical unicorns, this workshop will ignite their imagination and bring their mythical masterpieces to life!
Projects will be fired about 7-10 days after the workshop. Projects will be available for pick up at the Community Education Center after the final glaze firing. You will get an email when they are ready for pick up.
