Sign Language Summer Camp
Come and learn basic ASL vocabulary and practice talking with your hands! Each 3-session summer camp is 2.5 hours long, and will include instruction time, activities & materials, and a snack. All sessions will introduce/review signs for alphabet, numbers, and family members. Handouts will be sent home so you can practice what you learn with your family and friends!
July 29, 30, 31
Around Town: Learn signs for the people and places we visit in our neighborhood, while playing games, reading stories, and building some creations with art materials and with food!
Disclaimer: This is not a class in American Sign Language, which has its own grammar and syntax and is very different from spoken English. Rather, I will be teaching ASL vocabulary, and helping children develop a basic understanding and appreciation for ASL that I hope will inspire them to continue to learn more in depth ASL in the future.
